Filemaker to PHP Conversion

Client is located in Middleburg, PA 17842, United States. Client is a Source for Contract Manufacturing. They had an application that was developed using Filemaker 7. The requirement was to analayze, undestand and replicate the functionalities of the existing filemaker application and migrate them to the latest opensource technology. The client was interested to go with PHP and Mysql since he had the impression that this technology may sustain for a long period and it will be easy for him to enhance and maintain for a very low reasonable cost when compared to other technologies.
We at inexpensivecoders, reviewed the requirement, did a functional break down, database break down and also a Proof of Concept before starting working into the project to analyze and measure the performance of the existing Filemaker application with PHP web application. After some permutation and combination testing, it was concluded that the performance is more or less similar to their existing application and the client gave green light to start working on the project.
The team worked on this conversion for two months that included complete development, design, testing and delivery. The client was happy with the output and was impressed.
